Important Announcement:
Web21C SDK has now migrated to the Ribbit platform!
On 29 July BT announced that it acquired Ribbit Corporation (www.ribbit.com), underpinning its ongoing commitment to enable developers to integrate, personalise and monetise voice applications for both enterprises and consumers, bringing to life new ideas, new experiences and new business models.
To focus our efforts on providing you with the REST API at Ribbit as soon as possible, and in order for you to enjoy working not only with Ribbit's wide ranging functionality but some of the applications you have been used to working with as part of BT's Web21C SDK, we have suspended the Web21C SDK platform in its current form.
Since its inception 18 months ago, over 9,000 developers have joined the BT Web21C SDK community. Over that time, we have worked together with you as part of a collective journey in evolving voice from silo to application. Migration to the Ribbit platform marks the next chapter in this journey. Through combining the server side expertise of our Web21C SDK team with Ribbit's platform and client side knowledge, we feel we can offer you a truly open and superior platform to underpin the next generation of innovation.
Whilst we focus on providing you with the REST API, we invite you to come and play at Ribbit! If you haven't already, go to http://developer.ribbit.com/ and sign up for a developer account, giving you immediate access to all the benefits already shared by over 6,000 Ribbit developer community members, including comprehensive documentation and code samples to help you "Ribbitize" your application.
We look forward to enhancing your development efforts with Ribbit and we would like to thank you for your support of our Web21C SDK. Bringing together Web21C SDK and Ribbit into a single platform is an exciting move, and we are committed to bringing you many more tools to help you innovate with voice and communications. We hope you share our excitement about the opportunities and possibilities ahead and appreciate your continued support during this transition.
